SAE 45° flare both ends, turned 90°. The 45° flare is a shallower cone than JIC and turns up on refrigeration, LPG and some light automotive and agricultural lines.
Brand: Ayrtec – mild steel body with a plated finish, manufactured to the standards listed below.
If a 45° joint keeps weeping, put a straight edge across the flare and look at the angle. A part that has been pulled up against a 37° cone will have a witness ring in the wrong place, and once the flare is marked it will not seal again.
Parker, Gates, Aeroquip and Ryco all manufacture to these same standards under their own part numbering, so a fitting built to the standard above will mate with theirs.
Cross-references are given at series level as a guide to the standard, not as a part-for-part substitution. Always confirm the thread form, size and seal type against the port before ordering.
