How to choose
- A cap covers a male thread; a plug fills a female port. Male thread showing = cap.
- Measure the male thread outside diameter and match it to the size column.

Technicians Advice
Metal-to-metal on the 45° cone – no sealant. If in doubt whether the fitting is SAE or JIC, a JIC cap rocks on a 45° flare; the right cap sits square before you tighten it.
