Thread Standards

• BSP Swivel Female – BSPP to ISO 228 with a 60° internal cone seat. It seals on the cone and swivels, so it needs no tape or sealant.

How to Choose

• Protective only. They keep dirt off the sealing face and stop the hose draining. They will not hold pressure.
• Sized for BSP, JIC and ORFS male ends. Pick by the end you are covering.
• Buy a range and keep them in the truck. They cost less than a filter and save far more.

Technicians Advice

The point of a cap is protecting the sealing face, not just stopping drips. A JIC cone or an ORFS flat face that gets dragged along a tray while uncapped is the leak you will be chasing next week.

Where You’ll Find It

• BSP Swivel Female – Hose ends across Australian-built assemblies, and anywhere a joint has to be broken and remade repeatedly.
• JIC 37° Swivel Female – Hose ends on imported machinery, where the swivel lets the assembly be fitted without winding up the hose.
• ORFS Swivel Female – Hose ends on modern high-pressure plant where a cone joint would fret loose under vibration.
