Adaptor flanges

A Group 2/3 gearbox has a European pump mounting face. To fit an SAE 2-bolt pump you need the matching adaptor flange bolted to the gearbox — plus the correct splined coupling for the shaft. Both are needed; one without the other will not work.

If you would rather not adapt, the KM600 and KM700 gearboxes are also available factory built with SAE A or SAE B mounts — usually the better answer on a new build.

Breather

The KM-Breather is a 3/8" combined oil filler cap and breather with gasket. A sealed gearbox builds pressure as it warms and pushes oil past the shaft seals; the breather lets it vent. If a box is weeping from the output seal, check the breather is fitted and clear before condemning the seal.

Oil: SAE 90 gear oil or Universal Tractor Transmission Oil.
