A ball valve with a snapped lever is almost always a perfectly good valve – the ball, seats and stem are unharmed, because the handle bent instead of the stem. A replacement handle is a five-minute fix at a fraction of the cost of the valve, and nothing like the cost of draining the circuit to change it. If you are not sure which valve you have, email a photo of the body stamping to sales@hydraulic.online.

A handle that has worked loose will round out the stem flats – replace it before it slips. Match the handle to the valve series and size in the table, seat it fully on the flats and nip up the retaining screw. If the valve is stiff to turn with a good handle, the ball seats are worn – replace the valve, not the handle.
