Thread Standards

• ORFS Swivel Female – SAE J1453 O-ring face seal. It clamps down onto the male flat face O-ring and swivels for alignment.

How to Choose

• A cap is female and covers a male end. A plug is male and blocks a female port. Check which the open connection is before you order.
• Seals on the O-ring in the mating flat face. Nothing on the thread.
• Check the male face and the ring before you cap it, because a nicked face will not seal when the hose goes back on either.

Technicians Advice

Capping an ORFS end also protects the sealing face from being knocked about while the machine is apart, which matters more on a face seal than on a cone. A dinged flat face is scrap.
