MiniPress Test Points M16x2 (Test 20) – Every Thread, One Listing

The test point is the permanent tap you fit into a circuit so pressure can be checked in seconds, under full pressure, without cracking a fitting. These are Italian-made MiniPress M16x2 screw-type test points — the same coupling standard as STAUFF Test 20 and Minimess 1620-style points — rated to 630 bar, each supplied with a dust cap on a retaining chain. Male threads fit straight into your gauge port or tee; the female ORFS/JIC/BSPP versions tee into a line; bulkhead versions mount through a panel.

How to choose

• Match the thread to your port: BSPP parallel needs the elastomer or metal seal face; BSPT and NPTF tapered seal on the thread.
• Metal seal BSPP suits high-temperature spots where elastomer seals age fast.
• JIC and ORFS female swivel versions go in-line at a hose end; bulkhead versions bring the point through a panel for easy access.

Technicians Advice

Fit test points like you mean it: one on the pump outlet, one on each cylinder service, one on the LS line — a machine plumbed for diagnosis earns its keep the first time something plays up. The poppet only opens when the hose or gauge is screwed on, so the circuit stays sealed the rest of its life; what kills them is a lost dust cap and twenty years of slurry in the coupling — keep the cap on the chain and wipe the nose before connecting anything. Torque them like a fitting, not like a plug: the BSPP elastomer versions seal on the washer face and do not need gorilla arms. And never use a test point as a bleed port for volume flow — the 2mm bore is for pressure signals, not draining a tank.
