How to choose

• Order hose in whole metres (quantity = metres); allow 30mm of hose inside each fitting when measuring.
• Two ferrules per assembly — one each end.

Technicians Advice

Kevlar braid does not like a tight bend radius at the fitting: leave a straight run of at least 50mm behind each crimp or the hose works itself loose right at the ferrule. Cut square with a fine blade, never side cutters, and blow the bore through before crimping — a 2mm bore blocks on a whisker of braid fluff. Pressure-test every home-made assembly before it meets a machine.
