Thread Standards

• Metric Light (L) Male – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, light series. It seals on the 24° cone, normally with an O-ring captured in the cone.

How to Choose

• This is a spare part, sold on its own so a damaged one does not mean replacing the whole assembly.
• Light (L) and heavy (S) nuts do not interchange. Go by the series on the existing assembly.
• The nut clamps; the cutting ring and cone seal.

Technicians Advice

Change the ring with the nut. And go easy on the torque, because light series is easy to over-tighten and crushing the ring deforms the tube behind it.

• Metric Light (L) Male – European-built machinery – Liebherr, Wacker Neuson, Atlas, Sennebogen, Manitou – and imported tube assemblies. Light series suits return, drain and pilot lines.
