Metric Light (L) Male x Metric Light (L) Male Straight Adaptor
Light series 24° cone both ends. The everyday joiner for L series tube work on European-built machinery, most often on return, drain and pilot lines.
Brand: Ayrtec – mild steel body with a plated finish, manufactured to the standards listed below.

Thread Standards
- Metric Light (L) Male – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, light series. It seals on the 24° cone, normally with an O-ring captured in the cone.
How to Choose
- Equal and reducing sizes are stocked, so you can step down through the nipple rather than stacking a bush on it.
- Light (L) and heavy (S) overlap on some thread sizes and the cones differ. An L body in an S port will start and go nowhere good.
- Look into the mating cone. Some are plain 24° and some carry an O-ring, and the two are not interchangeable.
Technicians Advice
If a 24° joint weeps, take it apart and look at the cone face before you reach for a bigger spanner. A bruised or scored cone will not come good under torque, and the extra load just spreads the damage into the port.
