Thread Standards

• Metric Light (L) Male – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, light series. It seals on the 24° cone, normally with an O-ring captured in the cone.
• Metric Light (L) Swivel Female – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, light series. It pulls onto the mating 24° cone and swivels so the tube is not twisted.

How to Choose

• On a branch tee the two in-line ports carry the main flow and the third port comes off the side at 90°. Get that the wrong way round and the tee physically will not fit the run.
• Light (L) is the lower rated metric range. Check the circuit before using it on a pump line.
• All three ports seal on a 24° cone. Plain and O-ring cones do not interchange, so look into each one.

Technicians Advice

Small metric cones seal at low torque and are ruined not far past it. Bring each of the three up until the cone loads and stop. If one still weeps, the fault is that cone face, not the torque.

• Metric Light (L) Swivel Female – European tube and hose assemblies on the lower-pressure side.
