How to choose
- A plug fills a female port or fitting; a cap covers a male end. Male thread showing = you need a cap; open hole = you need a plug.
- Measure the thread outside diameter and match it to the size column – the dash number in brackets is the thread size in 1/16ths of an inch.

Technicians Advice
Metric light plugs seal on the 24° cone or the fitted seal depending on the port – check what the mating fitting expects before assuming tape will fix a weep. The dash size is the thread: measure OD in mm and the pitch, both must match.
