Thread Standards

• Metric Light (L) Male – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, light series. It seals on the 24° cone, normally with an O-ring captured in the cone.

How to Choose

• A plug is male and blocks a female port. A cap is female and covers a male end. Work out which one the open connection is before you order.
• Light (L) is the lower rated metric range. Check the series on the port before you fit.
• Seals on the 24° cone. Nothing on the thread.

Technicians Advice

Small metric cones seal at low torque and are ruined not far past it. Bring it up until the cone loads and stop, and remember a plug gives you plenty of leverage to go too far without feeling it.

• Metric Light (L) Male – European-built machinery – Liebherr, Wacker Neuson, Atlas, Sennebogen, Manitou – and imported tube assemblies. Light series suits return, drain and pilot lines.
