Light series metric both ends, swivel female one side and male cone the other. The everyday extension and repair piece for L series tube work on European machinery.

Thread Standards

• Metric Light (L) Swivel Female – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, light series. It pulls onto the mating 24° cone and swivels so the tube is not twisted.
• Metric Light (L) Male – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, light series. It seals on the 24° cone, normally with an O-ring captured in the cone.

How to Choose

• Equal and reducing sizes are stocked, so you can step through the adaptor rather than stacking parts.
• Light (L) is the lower rated metric range. Check the circuit before using it on a pump outlet.
• L and S overlap on some thread sizes and the cones differ. Go by the series on the tube nut.

Technicians Advice

Small metric cones seal at low torque and are ruined not far past it. Bring it up until the cone loads and stop there. If it still weeps after that, the fault is in the cone face or the tube flare, not in how hard it has been pulled up.

• Metric Light (L) Swivel Female – European tube and hose assemblies on the lower-pressure side.
• Metric Light (L) Male – European-built machinery – Liebherr, Wacker Neuson, Atlas, Sennebogen, Manitou – and imported tube assemblies. Light series suits return, drain and pilot lines.
