Thread Standards

• Metric Light (L) Swivel Female – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, light series. It pulls onto the mating 24° cone and swivels so the tube is not twisted.

How to Choose

• Both ends swivel and seal on a mating 24° cone. Nothing goes on either thread.
• Light (L) is the lower rated metric range. Check the circuit before using it on a pump outlet.
• L and S overlap on some thread sizes and the cones differ, so go by the series on the tube nut.

Technicians Advice

Small metric cones seal at low torque and are ruined not much past it. Bring each end up until the cone loads and stop. If it still weeps, the fault is the cone face or the tube flare, not how hard it has been pulled up.
