How to choose
- A cap covers a male thread; a plug fills a female port. Male thread showing = cap.
- Measure the male thread outside diameter and match it to the size column.

Technicians Advice
The cap nut pulls the internal cone onto the male 24° seat – metal to metal, no sealant. European ag and industrial gear runs L series almost everywhere the pressure is modest; if the fitting shoulders early and still leaks you are probably capping an S series stud with an L cap.
