Thread Standards

• Metric Light (L) Swivel Female – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, light series. It pulls onto the mating 24° cone and swivels so the tube is not twisted.

How to Choose

• A cap is female and covers a male end. A plug is male and blocks a female port. Check which the open connection is before you order.
• Light (L) is the lower rated metric range. Check the series before you order.
• Seals on the 24° cone. Nothing on the thread.

Technicians Advice

Do not over-tighten a cap just because it is only a cap. Small metric cones are easy to crush, and a cap that has bruised the male cone it was protecting has done the opposite of its job.
