Thread Standards

• Metric Komatsu Male (JIS metric) – JIS metric 30° flare pattern used by Komatsu. It seals on the 30° flare seat, which is a different angle again to JIC or metric 24°.

How to Choose

• A plug is male and blocks a female port. A cap is female and covers a male end. Work out which one the open connection is before you order.
• The 30° Komatsu flare is not a JIC 37° and not a DIN 24°, even though all three overlap in size.
• Hold it against the fitting you are blanking. The angle difference shows when the two cones are nose to nose.

Technicians Advice

This is the plug most likely to be the wrong one in the drawer, because a 30° and a 37° will both start. Identify it at the bench, not by feel in a port you cannot see.
