How to choose
- A plug fills a female port or fitting; a cap covers a male end. Male thread showing = you need a cap; open hole = you need a plug.
- Measure the thread outside diameter and match it to the size column – the dash number in brackets is the thread size in 1/16ths of an inch.

Technicians Advice
Komatsu metric looks like DIN metric but seals on the JIS 30° seat – a DIN plug threads in and weeps. If the machine is Komatsu, Hitachi or Kobelco and the port fights every "metric" fitting you try, this is the pattern it wants.
