Thread Standards

• Metric Komatsu Female – Komatsu-style metric 30° flare, female. It takes a 30° flare male and seals on that cone, not on the thread.

How to Choose

• A cap is female and covers a male end. A plug is male and blocks a female port. Check which the open connection is before you order.
• The 30° Komatsu flare is not a JIC 37° and not a DIN 24° cone, even though the sizes overlap.
• Hold the cap against the male end. Nose to nose the angle difference is obvious.

Technicians Advice

Keep the Komatsu caps separated from the JIC ones in the truck. They will both start onto the wrong male, and the one that gets found out is the cone you damaged with the wrong cap.
