Thread Standards

• Metric Heavy (S) Male – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, heavy series. It seals on the 24° cone and is built for higher pressures than the light series.

How to Choose

• This is a spare part, sold on its own so a damaged one does not mean replacing the whole assembly.
• Heavy (S) and light (L) nuts are different parts. Check the series on the assembly.
• The nut supplies the load. The ring and the cone do the sealing.

Technicians Advice

Replace the cutting ring at the same time as the nut. Reusing an old ring in a new nut is false economy, because the ring has already bitten and will not bite cleanly a second time.
