Thread Standards

• Metric Heavy (S) Male – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, heavy series. It seals on the 24° cone and is built for higher pressures than the light series.
• Metric Heavy (S) Swivel Female – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, heavy series. It pulls onto the mating 24° cone and swivels so the tube is not twisted.

How to Choose

• On a run tee the odd port sits in the middle of the run and the two matching ports are the ends. It is the opposite layout to a branch tee, so check which one the job needs before you order.
• Heavy (S) will not seal in a light (L) port even where the thread starts. Check all three mating parts.
• Look into each cone for a captured O-ring before fitting.

Technicians Advice

The cone seals and the nut only loads it. Inspect all three faces on the bench, because a scored cone will not come good under torque however long the bar is.
