How to choose
- A plug fills a female port or fitting; a cap covers a male end. Male thread showing = you need a cap; open hole = you need a plug.
- Measure the thread outside diameter and match it to the size column – the dash number in brackets is the thread size in 1/16ths of an inch.

Technicians Advice
S series carries the high-pressure circuits – same 24° cone as L series but heavier wall and different tube sizes per thread. An L plug will thread into an S port of the same M size; it will also let go at pressure. Check the series, not just the thread.
