Metric Heavy (S) Swivel Female x Metric Stud Male Straight Adaptor

Heavy series metric swivel female one end, metric stud with a soft seal the other. Runs an S series line straight into a metric port on a European pump, valve block or gearbox.

Thread Standards

• Metric Heavy (S) Swivel Female – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, heavy series. It pulls onto the mating 24° cone and swivels so the tube is not twisted.
• Metric Stud Male – metric straight thread with a captive soft seal. It seals on a bonded washer or O-ring under the stud shoulder, not on the thread.

How to Choose

• The swivel female seals on the mating 24° cone. The stud end seals on a washer or O-ring under the shoulder.
• The stud is a straight thread. It does not tighten on itself and takes no sealant.
• Metric stud sizes run close together. M18 and M20 will both feel like they want to start.

Technicians Advice

The soft seal under the stud shoulder is a one-use part. Reusing a flattened washer is the most common reason a metric port comes back weeping a fortnight later, and a new seal costs less than the trip out to look at it.
