Metric Heavy (S) Swivel Female x Metric Heavy (S) Male Straight Adaptor

Heavy series metric both ends, swivel female one side and male cone the other. The extension and repair piece for the high-pressure side of European-built machinery.

Thread Standards

• Metric Heavy (S) Swivel Female – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, heavy series. It pulls onto the mating 24° cone and swivels so the tube is not twisted.
• Metric Heavy (S) Male – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, heavy series. It seals on the 24° cone and is built for higher pressures than the light series.

How to Choose

• Heavy (S) and light (L) share some thread sizes but the cones and bodies differ. An S fitting will not seal in an L port.
• The swivel end turns as you tighten so an assembled tube run is not twisted.
• Look into both cones before fitting. Plain 24° and O-ring cones do not interchange.

Technicians Advice

On heavy series the cone does the work and the nut only supplies the load. If a joint weeps, take it apart and inspect the cone face rather than reaching for a longer bar. A scored cone will not come good under torque and the extra load damages the port as well.

• Metric Heavy (S) Male – European machinery on the pressure side, where working pressures exceed the light series rating.
