Thread Standards

• Metric Heavy (S) Swivel Female – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, heavy series. It pulls onto the mating 24° cone and swivels so the tube is not twisted.

How to Choose

• A cap is female and covers a male end. A plug is male and blocks a female port. Check which the open connection is before you order.
• Heavy (S) and light (L) share some thread sizes but the cones differ. Check the series.
• Seals on the 24° cone, so nothing on the thread.

Technicians Advice

Cap the S series ends first when you strip a machine. They are the high-pressure lines, and a cone that gets knocked while the machine is in bits is the one that weeps when it all goes back together.
