• Metric Stud Male – metric straight thread with a captive soft seal. It seals on a bonded washer or O-ring under the stud shoulder, not on the thread.

How to Choose

• A plug is male and blocks a female port. A cap is female and covers a male end. Work out which one the open connection is before you order.
• Seals on a bonded washer or O-ring under the shoulder, not on the thread.
• The port face under the shoulder must be flat and clean.

Technicians Advice

The seal under the shoulder is a one-use item. Reusing a flattened washer on a blanking plug is the most common reason a port that has never had a hose on it ends up weeping.
