The male rod clevis block with bronze bushes pressed into the eye. The bushes take the wear instead of the steel, so it suits pivots that work hard and often: loaders, tipping gear, log splitters, anything that cycles all day. Worn bushes can be replaced, the block keeps going.

How to choose

• Rod thread must be 1-1/4" UNF.
• Pin must be 1".
• Go bushed when the pivot moves under load many times a day, or where the old eye has worn oval.

Technicians Advice

Bronze bushes only live a long life if grease gets to them. Pump grease in until you see fresh grease at both sides of the eye, and do it again at every service. Use a hardened, ground pin, not a length of bright bar: a soft pin chews the bush out in no time. If you are replacing a worn plain eye, check the fork on the machine as well. There is no point fitting a new bush to an oval fork hole.
