How to choose
- A plug fills a female port or fitting; a cap covers a male end. Male thread showing = you need a cap; open hole = you need a plug.
- Measure the thread outside diameter and match it to the size column – the dash number in brackets is the thread size in 1/16ths of an inch.

Technicians Advice
JIS fittings use BSP threads but seal on a 30° cone, not the thread – a standard BSP plug will screw in and still weep. If the machine is Japanese and the "BSP" joint has always seeped, this seat is usually why. Match the seat, not just the thread.
