Male-to-male JIC in a compact 45° body – the everyday elbow for joining two swivel-nut hose ends or feeding a JIC port from a JIC line. Nothing to tape, nothing to seal, just two cones doing the work.

Thread Standards

• JIC 37° Male – SAE J514 37° flare. It seals metal-to-metal on the 37° cone, so it takes no tape at all.

How to Choose

• Size each end to what it screws into. Unequal male-to-male 45s are stocked and are usually neater than a reducer plus an elbow.
• Both ends need a swivel female or a JIC female port to land on. A JIC male will not seal into an ORB or BSP port.
• Compact bodies keep overall length short. Where the hose needs more reach before it turns, the swept version suits better.

• JIC 37° Male – Hose ends and ports on imported US and Asian machinery – Caterpillar, John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, Bobcat, Kubota, Takeuchi.

Cross-Reference

• JIC 37° Male – SAE J514 / ISO 8434-2 37° flare. Parker call this series Triple-Lok. The industrial cousin of the AN 37° flare used in aviation and motorsport.

Parker, Gates, Aeroquip and Ryco all manufacture to these same standards under their own part numbering, so a fitting built to the standard above will mate with theirs.

Technicians Advice

Two male cones back to back means two chances to bruise a seat. Keep them capped or bagged until fitting, because a nick you can barely feel with a fingernail is enough to leak and no amount of torque will pull it up.
