JIC Hose Tail and Ferrule Build Kit – Two Piece Crimp-On

The JIC 37° swivel tails that live on US-built machinery, boxed with the matching two-piece ferrules. Build hoses for the gear you actually work on instead of chasing single fittings size by size. Three pack sizes from tailgate to fleet workshop.

Material: Plated carbon steel tails and ferrules. Suits 1 and 2 wire braided hose (SAE 100R1/100R2, EN853 1SN/2SN).

Thread Standards

• JIC 37° Female Swivel – SAE J514 37° flare. Seals metal-to-metal on the 37° cone – no tape, no sealant, nothing on the thread.

Technicians Advice

Both cones need to be clean and unmarked before assembly. A JIC seat nipped up with grit in it leaves a witness ring, and once that ring is there the joint seeps every time the machine warms up. On the crimp side, mark insertion depth on the hose, crimp to the chart figure and vernier the ferrule at two points – an oval crimp holds pressure right up until the day it does not.

• JIC 37° – SAE J514 / ISO 8434-2 37° flare. Parker call the series Triple-Lok; the industrial cousin of the AN flare used in aviation and motorsport.
