JIC 37° Swivel Female x SAE O-Ring Boss Male 90° Compact Elbow

O-ring boss into the port, JIC swivel out to the hose, at 90°. The correct way to bring a hose hard off an SAE straight-thread boss - the O-ring seals the port and the cone seals the hose.

Thread Standards

• JIC 37° Swivel Female – SAE J514 37° flare. It seals on the 37° cone seat and swivels, so the hose is never wound up during assembly.
• SAE O-Ring Boss Male (UNO/UNF) – SAE J1926 / ISO 11926 straight thread O-ring boss. It seals on an O-ring squeezed against the port spotface, not on the thread.

How to Choose

• The ORB end suits a machined boss with a spotface. It will not seal in a tapered port.
• Adjustable versions with a locknut let you clock the elbow. This body seats in a fixed position.
• Check the O-ring material against the fluid. Standard nitrile is wrong for phosphate ester and some synthetics.

Technicians Advice

If the elbow has to point a certain way, use the adjustable version rather than backing this one off to aim it. Backing off an ORB fitting unloads the O-ring, and that joint will seep every time the machine gets hot.

Where You’ll Find It

• JIC 37° Swivel Female – Hose ends on imported machinery, where the swivel lets the assembly be fitted without winding up the hose.
• SAE O-Ring Boss Male (UNO/UNF) – Cylinder end caps, pump and valve bosses on US-built plant. Common on Australian-assembled cylinders too, where it is usually called UNO.
