Thread Standards

• JIC 37° Swivel Female – SAE J514 37° flare. It seals on the 37° cone seat and swivels, so the hose is never wound up during assembly.

How to Choose

• Both ends seal on the 37° cone and both swivel, so neither hose is wound up as you tighten.
• No tape and no sealant on either end. Anything on the thread only masks a poor seat.
• Equal and reducing sizes are stocked, so you can step between JIC sizes in one part.

Technicians Advice

Two cone joints means two faces to wipe. A JIC pulled up with grit on the seat leaves a witness ring, and once it is there the joint seeps every time the oil warms and thins. Clean rag on both cones before assembly.
