JIC 37° Swivel Female Cap

A JIC swivel female cap for covering an exposed JIC male end. The most-used cap in any repair kit.

Thread Standards

• JIC 37° Swivel Female – SAE J514 37° flare. It seals on the 37° cone seat and swivels, so the hose is never wound up during assembly.

How to Choose

• A cap is female and covers a male end. A plug is male and blocks a female port. Check which the open connection is before you order.
• Seals metal to metal on the 37° cone. No tape, no sealant.
• Watch for 45° flare on the same machine. A 45° male in a 37° cap will not seat properly.

Technicians Advice

Keep a box of these and the matching plugs on the truck. Capping and plugging as you break a line is the cheapest contamination control there is, and it costs less than one filter change.

• JIC 37° Swivel Female – Hose ends on imported machinery, where the swivel lets the assembly be fitted without winding up the hose.
