7/8" diameter hard chrome rod, female clevis with 3/4" high tensile steel pin and spring steel R-clip retainers at both ends.

Producing up to 2.3 tonnes push force extending and 1.5 tonnes pull force retracting at 3,000 PSI (207 bar) — actual force depends on stroke length (see chart below).

This cylinder can also be used as a single-acting ram (e.g. gravity pull or push down). Dual 9/16" UNO ports at each end give more options for connecting in tight spots.

WARNING: Hydraulic cylinders without a hose burst valve, pilot-operated check valve, or counterbalance valve mounted directly to the cylinder do not meet Australian Standard AS1418.8, nor occupational health & safety rules.

Force ratings — read before you order

Maximum safe push/pull force drops as stroke length increases.

Example:

• At 12" stroke: 1.7 tonnes extend force at 149 bar (2,161 psi)
• At 30" stroke: 400 kg extend force at 35 bar (508 psi)

Maximum retraction force for this size is a constant 1.5 tonnes (207 bar), regardless of stroke.

Rod — hard chrome plated, high tensile steel

• Precision turned and polished, then electrolytically hard-chrome plated for surface hardness and corrosion resistance

Barrel, gland nut, clevis — steel

• Same base materials and manufacturing process as our imported range: cold-drawn seamless honed steel barrel, taken through cutting, acid pickling, phosphating, cold drawing, annealing, straightening, honing/skiving, and roller burnishing

Pins — high tensile steel with spring steel R-clip retainers

Piston — steel, dual guide rings

• Dual guide rings keep the piston seal square through the full stroke, which is what extends seal life on this design compared to a single-ring piston

Piston seal — Hallite 780, five-part assembly

• Max pressure 400 bar, -30°C to +100°C, piston linear speed up to 0.5 m/sec
• Comprised of a nitrile rubber sealing element, two split support rings, and two split L-shaped guide rings positioned either side of the seal
• Nitrile sealing element uses a multi-lip profile for dynamic sealing with minimal low-pressure friction; under pressure, the extending lips of the support rings protect it from extrusion damage
• Support/guide rings are a synthetic fibre-reinforced polyester composite with synthetic graphite micro-powder — low friction coefficient, high load-carrying capacity, low water absorption, chemical resistance, UV-stable for outdoor service

Rod wiper seal — Hallite 834

• Rated -45°C to +110°C, rod speeds up to 4 m/sec
• Moulded in Hythane® 181 polyurethane for wear resistance
• Internal moulded ribs resist wiper blow-out from pressure trapped between the wiper and main rod seal

Gland nut (rod) seal — Hallite, Hythane® 181

• Rated 400 bar max pressure, -45°C to +110°C, rod speeds up to 1 m/sec
