A metric standpipe end on a straight crimp tail, for landing a hose into a metric compression or bite-type tube fitting.

A two-piece crimp-on assembly is two separate parts: this tail (the stem) and a ferrule that crimps over the hose. The ferrule is not included. You need one ferrule per tail.

We sell them separately on purpose. Several different ferrule styles will fit, and the right one depends on the hose you are crimping onto, not just the size:

• FS‑R2 Multi‑Fit – 1‑wire, 2‑wire, M3K and MXT braided hose. One series covers the lot, so most jobs take this.
• FS‑R7 – thermoplastic 100R7 hose. Different outside diameter and crimp figure to braided hose.
• FS‑R14 – PTFE 100R14 hose with stainless braid.

Thread Standards

• Metric Standpipe – plain metric standpipe outside diameter, sized by tube OD, has no seal of its own – it is the tube end that a nut and cutting ring or a compression fitting seals onto

How to Choose

• A straight tail is the default. Only go to a bend when the hose would otherwise leave the port at an angle it does not like.
• The standpipe is a plain tube end sized to the tube fitting, not a thread. Match the tube OD exactly.
• Check whether the fitting takes a cutting ring or an O-ring soft seal before ordering.

Technicians Advice

Push the standpipe fully home into the fitting body before you tighten the nut. A pipe sitting short bites in the wrong place and the joint will never hold, however hard you pull it up.
