A Komatsu 30° flare swivel female on a 90° swept crimp tail. The standard right-angle hose end on Komatsu and Japanese-built machinery.

This is the tail only – ferrules are sold separately

A two-piece crimp-on assembly is two separate parts: this tail (the stem) and a ferrule that crimps over the hose. The ferrule is not included. You need one ferrule per tail.

We sell them separately on purpose. Several different ferrule styles will fit, and the right one depends on the hose you are crimping onto, not just the size:

• FS‑R2 Multi‑Fit – 1‑wire, 2‑wire, M3K and MXT braided hose. One series covers the lot, so most jobs take this.
• FS‑R7 – thermoplastic 100R7 hose. Different outside diameter and crimp figure to braided hose.
• FS‑R14 – PTFE 100R14 hose with stainless braid.

Not sure which one? Tell us the hose you are using on 1300 146 737 and we will match it. Never mix a tail from one system with a ferrule from another – the crimp diameter will be wrong.

Thread Standards

• Metric Komatsu Female – Komatsu-style metric 30° flare, female, takes a 30° flare male and seals on that cone, not on the thread

How to Choose

• The bend is formed into the tail, so the angle is fixed. Decide which way the hose has to leave the port before you order – you cannot rotate it after it is crimped.
• 30° Komatsu flare – not JIC 37°, not DIN 24°.
• The swivel nut turns as you tighten, so the hose is not wound up.

Technicians Advice

Keep Komatsu ends separated from JIC ends in the truck. They will both start onto the wrong male, and the part that gets damaged is the cone you were trying to save.
