Hose Tail – Komatsu Male – Straight – Two-Piece Crimp-On

A Komatsu 30° flare male on a straight crimp tail, for Japanese-built excavators, loaders and dozers.

Mild steel body with a plated finish, manufactured to the standard listed above.

Two-piece crimp-on – how it goes together

This is the tail (stem) only. A two-piece assembly is the tail plus a separate ferrule crimped over the hose. Our FS‑R2 Multi‑Fit ferrule covers 1‑wire, 2‑wire, M3K and MXT braided hose, so one ferrule series does the lot and you stock half the parts.

Thread Standards

  • Metric Komatsu Male (JIS metric) – JIS metric 30° flare pattern used by Komatsu, seals on the 30° flare seat, which is a different angle again to JIC or metric 24°

How to Choose

  • A straight tail is the default. Only go to a bend when the hose would otherwise leave the port at an angle it does not like.
  • The Komatsu flare is 30°. It is not a JIC 37° and not a DIN 24° cone.
  • Hold it nose to nose against the old fitting – the angle difference shows when the cones are together.

Technicians Advice

This is the seat most often mixed up in a workshop drawer. A 30° and a 37° will both start into the wrong mating part and hold a static test, then fret out under load.

Where You’ll Find It

  • Metric Komatsu Male (JIS metric) – Komatsu excavators, dozers and loaders, and other Japanese plant using the JIS metric flare.

Cross-Reference

  • Metric Komatsu Male (JIS metric) – JIS metric 30° flare, commonly called Komatsu metric. Not interchangeable with DIN 2353 24° cone or JIC 37°.

Parker, Gates, Aeroquip and Ryco all manufacture to these same standards under their own part numbering, so a fitting built to the standard above will mate with theirs.

Cross-references are given at series level as a guide to the standard, not as a part-for-part substitution. Always confirm the thread form, size and seal type against the port before ordering.
