A two-piece crimp-on assembly is two separate parts: this tail (the stem) and a ferrule that crimps over the hose. The ferrule is not included. You need one ferrule per tail.

We sell them separately on purpose. Several different ferrule styles will fit, and the right one depends on the hose you are crimping onto, not just the size:

• FS‑R2 Multi‑Fit – 1‑wire, 2‑wire, M3K and MXT braided hose. One series covers the lot, so most jobs take this.
• FS‑R7 – thermoplastic 100R7 hose. Different outside diameter and crimp figure to braided hose.
• FS‑R14 – PTFE 100R14 hose with stainless braid.

Thread Standards

• JIS BSP Swivel Female (inverted BSP) – JIS B8363 – BSPP thread to ISO 228 with a 60° cone seat, seals on the 60° cone and swivels, so the hose is not wound up on assembly

How to Choose

• A straight tail is the default. Only go to a bend when the hose would otherwise leave the port at an angle it does not like.
• BSP thread with a 30° seat – the thread will run onto a standard BSP male and still not seal.
• Check the seat angle as well as the thread before ordering.

Technicians Advice

If the thread winds on sweetly but will not pull down, stop and check the seat rather than tightening harder. That is the JIS trap, and more torque only ruins the seat.
