High Pressure ST-1500 Weep Gun

A weep gun bleeds a small amount of water instead of dead-heading the pump when the trigger is released. That single difference is why weep guns last on machines that run all day and why they are standard on car wash bays, farm setups and any rig where the operator is on and off the trigger constantly. Triggerless versions have no trigger at all - flow is controlled at the machine. All current stock.

Ways to buy this weep gun:

Weep or triggerless gun - ST-1500.

Technicians Advice

People buy weep guns to fix a symptom without understanding the cause, so here it is. A conventional gun dead-heads the pump every time the trigger is released, and the unloader has to dump that flow instantly. If the unloader is slow, worn or set wrong, the pressure spike goes straight into the gun seat and into the pump head.

A weep gun sidesteps the whole problem by never fully closing - a small bleed keeps water moving. The trade-off is that a weep gun drips, always, by design. Do not fit one indoors or anywhere the drip is a slip hazard, and do not fit one and then complain it leaks. And if you are running a weep gun to protect a pump on a machine that also has a knackered unloader, fix the unloader anyway - the weep only protects the gun end.
