Ferrule – Thermoplastic 100R7 Hose – FS‑R7 – Crimp-On

The crimp-on ferrule sized for SAE 100R7 thermoplastic hose. Thermoplastic has a different outside diameter and a different crimp figure to wire-braided hose, so it takes its own ferrule series.

A two-piece crimp-on assembly is two separate parts: a hose tail (the stem that carries the thread) and this ferrule, which crimps over the hose. The tail is not included. You need one ferrule per tail.

How to Choose

• Match the ferrule to your hose type first, then the size. 100R7 thermoplastic only – it will not crimp correctly on braided hose.
• Order the same dash size as the hose bore. One ferrule per tail.
• Never mix systems – a tail from one manufacturer with a ferrule from another will not crimp to a safe diameter.

Crimp Dimensions

Crimp to the figure on the 2026 chart for your exact hose, measured across the flats, and check it with calipers at two points 90° apart before the assembly goes near a machine.

Technicians Advice

Thermoplastic is softer than wire braid and easy to over-crimp. Crimp to the R7 figure, not the braided figure, and measure it. An over-crimped thermoplastic liner splits from the inside and gives no warning.
