F4 and KLV59 Pressure Switch Accessories – Rubber Boot and M12 Connector Plug

The two small parts that finish an F4 or KLV59 installation. The F4-P2 rubber boot slips over the exposed screw terminals of a bare-terminal F4 switch and keeps water and dust off them. The KLV59-PLUG is the M12 four pin round plug connector that mates with the KLV59 digital pressure switch.

Technicians Advice

If you have bought a bare-terminal F4 for anything that lives outside, buy the boot at the same time. Exposed screw terminals on a machine that gets washed down, or simply rained on, corrode and give you an intermittent fault that reads exactly like a failing switch and costs a hundred times the price of the boot to chase. Push it fully home over the terminals and check it has not lifted after the first few hours of vibration. On the KLV59, do the plug up finger tight plus a nip – the M12 thread is the seal, and over-tightening it distorts the gasket and lets water past.
