The Badestnost Z50 is a heavy-duty, European-made monoblock directional control valve designed for reliable performance across a wide range of open and closed centre hydraulic systems.
This single-spool version gives you precise manual control over one hydraulic function — whether that's extending and retracting a cylinder, or controlling the direction of a hydraulic motor.
Rated for continuous operation at 40 L/min with a nominal maximum capacity of 50 L/min, and built to handle system pressures up to 315 bar (4,600 psi), this valve is engineered to suit demanding agricultural, construction, industrial, and mobile plant applications.

How It Works
The spring-return lever gives you intuitive three-position control — push or pull to direct oil flow to your cylinder or motor, and release to spring back to the neutral (centre) position, locking the load in place.
In neutral, with a cylinder spool the work ports are closed and flow returns to tank through the open centre circuit.
A built-in adjustable pressure relief valve is factory set to 180 bar and protects your system from pressure spikes. The valve also features a load check valve on the P port, preventing unintended load drift when the lever is in neutral.
Power Beyond Port (N) This valve includes a Power Beyond port that allows you to connect a second valve downstream. To activate this port, a Power Beyond sleeve (C2) must be fitted — available as an add-on option. A tank return line must always be maintained when using this function.
Spool Options
Select your spool type from the dropdown above. Each spool type changes how oil flows through the valve in neutral and under operation:
Cylinder Spool (Standard — Spool A) Double-acting, 3-position. Work ports A and B closed in neutral. Best for hydraulic cylinders and rams where load holding is required.
Motor Spool (Spool D) Double-acting, 3-position. Work ports A and B open to tank in neutral. Best for hydraulic motors — allows the motor to coast to a stop rather than being abruptly locked.
Single Acting — P to A (Spool B) Single-acting, 3-position. Oil directed to Port A only. Port B is plugged. Suitable for single-acting cylinders with spring or gravity return.
Single Acting — P to B (Spool C) Single-acting, 3-position. Oil directed to Port B only. Port A is plugged. Reverse configuration of Spool B.
Cylinder Spool + Detent (3-Position) Same as cylinder spool but with detent — lever stays in position until manually returned to centre. Useful where hands-free operation is needed.
Motor Spool + Detent (3-Position) Motor spool with detent. Lever holds position without constant operator input. Common for continuous motor operation.
