DCV200 Sectional Directional Control Valve - 1 to 12 Sections - 200 L/min

The DCV200 is the largest valve in the DCV range — 200 L/min at 315 bar through 1" BSPP ports. Heavy cranes, drill rigs, large forestry and materials handling.

Use the dropdowns above to build your valve — sections, spool type and power beyond — the price updates as you choose. Anything marked Built to Order cannot be added to the cart: call 1300 146 737 and we will build and quote the exact valve, usually same day.

What comes as standard

Every valve is supplied spring centred, double acting, with load hold checks and a main relief valve in the inlet. That is the configuration most jobs want, and it is what the price shown covers.

Power beyond: the outlet is a standard open-centre cover; select the plug option above if you are feeding a second valve downstream.

Other options are fitted, not bolted on later. Detent kits, spring kits, pneumatic control, port reliefs and alternative spools all change the part number. Tell us what you need and we will build and quote the exact valve.

Spring centred or detented? Spring centred returns to neutral the moment the operator lets go — the right choice for anything that lifts, tips or could trap someone. A detent holds the function on with nobody at the lever; use it only where that is genuinely safe.

Spools: the standard build is S1 double acting on every section. Motor spools, single acting spools and mixed stacks are factory-fitted to order — call 1300 146 737 and we will quote the exact valve.

Weight and mounting

Weight becomes a design consideration at this size: a six-section DCV200 is 49 kg. Mount it on a proper bracket, not on the pipework, and plan how it will be lifted into place.

How to Choose

  1. Count your functions. One lever per service — a crane with slew, boom and winch needs 3 sections.
  2. Check your flow. The pump output must not exceed the valve rating, or the levers get heavy and the oil gets hot.
  3. Pick the spool per service — see above.
  4. Feeding a second valve downstream? Tick the power beyond plug option.
  5. Other options — detent kits, spring kits, pneumatic and electric-over-pneumatic control, port reliefs and anti-cavitation valves are all factory-fitted or supplied as kits: see the kit listings below or call us.

Technicians Advice

Mount the valve, then plumb it — at up to 49 kg the pipework must never carry the valve, or vibration will crack a fitting within the season. Use the overload (main relief) valve properly: set it with a gauge to protect the weakest component, and remember port reliefs are the right tool for shock loads on individual services — the main relief is too far away to save a cylinder from a slamming load. At 200 L/min plumbing losses are real power: 1" hose minimum, sweeping bends, and a return filter rated for the full flow. Driving big motors? Ask for motor spools per section — blocked ports in neutral at this flow will hammer couplings and splines hard enough to shear them.
