DCV100 Sectional Directional Control Valve - 1 to 12 Sections - 100 L/min

The DCV100 steps the sectional range up to 100 L/min at 315 bar through 3/4" BSPP ports — the size for tipping trailers, larger cranes, forestry and agricultural implements.

Use the dropdowns above to build your valve — sections, spool type and power beyond — the price updates as you choose. Anything marked Built to Order cannot be added to the cart: call 1300 146 737 and we will build and quote the exact valve, usually same day.

What comes as standard

Every valve is supplied spring centred, double acting, with load hold checks and a main relief valve in the inlet. That is the configuration most jobs want, and it is what the price shown covers.

Power beyond: the outlet is a standard open-centre cover; select the plug option above if you are feeding a second valve downstream.

Other options are fitted, not bolted on later. Detent kits, spring kits, pneumatic control, port reliefs and alternative spools all change the part number. Tell us what you need and we will build and quote the exact valve.

Spring centred or detented? Spring centred returns to neutral the moment the operator lets go — the right choice for anything that lifts, tips or could trap someone. A detent holds the function on with nobody at the lever; use it only where that is genuinely safe.

Which spool? S1 double acting is the standard — it powers a cylinder both ways and blocks the ports in neutral. S4 motor spool leaves A and B open in neutral so a hydraulic motor can coast to a stop instead of hammering. S8 single acting powers one way and lets the load return by gravity. S4 Motor Spool - A and B Open in Neutral is stocked on 1 section valves; S8 Single Acting is stocked on 1 section valves — other combinations and mixed-spool stacks are built to order, call us.

Anti-cavitation reliefs

Anti-cavitation port reliefs are available on this frame and up. On a function with real inertia — a slewing motor, a long boom — they stop the actuator drawing a vacuum and pulling air past the seals when it is stopped abruptly. Ask for them when you order and we will fit them per section.

How to Choose

  1. Count your functions. One lever per service — a crane with slew, boom and winch needs 3 sections.
  2. Check your flow. The pump output must not exceed the valve rating, or the levers get heavy and the oil gets hot.
  3. Pick the spool per service — see above.
  4. Feeding a second valve downstream? Tick the power beyond plug option.
  5. Other options — detent kits, spring kits, pneumatic and electric-over-pneumatic control, port reliefs and anti-cavitation valves are all factory-fitted or supplied as kits: see the kit listings below or call us.

Technicians Advice

Size the plumbing to the valve, not the fittings drawer. At 100 L/min a 1/2" line is a restriction — run 3/4" hose to the work ports or the oil will heat before the machine works. Set the main relief with a gauge on the inlet: it ships at 200 bar and the right setting protects the weakest part of your circuit, not the valve. Driving a motor? Pick the S4 motor spool — a standard spool blocks the ports in neutral and shock-loads the motor every time you let go of the lever. Stopping heavy loads mid-air? The load hold checks stop drift-down through the spool at rest, but they are not a safety device — anything that works over people needs a counterbalance or pilot check valve at the cylinder.
