Our sharpest-priced hand pump, and a genuinely good one for the right job: 20 cc a stroke, 350 bar, bolts to a wall or chassis rail and draws from a tank somewhere else. Handle in the box. One thing sets it apart from every other pump we sell: there is no relief valve fitted. The factory spec table is explicit. Read the advice below before ordering.

How to choose

• Read this first: no relief valve. Fine on a circuit that already has relief; not fine on one that does not. If in doubt, ring us before ordering.
• Handle included, which the equivalent Italian pump does not do.
• Keep the suction line short and at least as big as the pump port.
• Need 50 or 70 cc, or built-in relief? The Italian PMP/PMO range is the one.

Technicians Advice

This pump has no relief valve, and that deserves plain words rather than a footnote: a determined operator on a long lever can generate more pressure than a cylinder seal, a hose or a gauge is rated for, and there is nothing inside this pump to stop them. Before you fit one, satisfy yourself that relief already exists in the circuit – on the ram, in a manifold, or as an inline valve – and if it does not, either add one or buy the Italian PMP20, which has relief built in for not much more.

That caveat given, this is a well made European pump at the sharpest price in the category, and the included handle widens the real gap further. Standard remote mount discipline applies: short, fat suction line, tank at or above the pump if the layout allows, and bolt it to something that will not flex, because a long lever will work a thin bracket loose inside a season. The release lever version is worth the small extra if the operator needs to let the load down without walking back to a valve.
