BSP Tapered Male x Female x Female Run Tee

A BSPT male with two BSPT female ports. Screws into a tapered port and gives two more female connections off the run.

Thread Standards

• BSP Tapered Male – BSPT to ISO 7 / BS 21. It seals on the tapered thread itself, so it needs PTFE tape or a liquid thread sealant.
• BSP Tapered Female – BSPT to ISO 7 / BS 21. It seals on the thread interference and must be taped or sealed.

How to Choose

• On a run tee the odd port sits in the middle of the run and the two matching ports are the ends. It is the opposite layout to a branch tee, so check which one the job needs before you order.
• Every joint on this part seals on the thread, so the male and both mating males need sealant.
• BSPT is 55° and NPT is 60°. Identify every mating part before you fit.

Technicians Advice

The females split if a male is over-tightened into them. Hand tight plus two or three turns everywhere, and let the sealant close each joint rather than the spanner.

Where You’ll Find It

• BSP Tapered Male – Older Australian and British pipework, gauge ports, tank and return lines, and cast pump and gearbox housings.
• BSP Tapered Female – Female side of local pipework, adaptor blocks and gauge manifolds.
