Thread Standards

• BSP Swivel Female – BSPP to ISO 228 with a 60° internal cone seat. It seals on the cone and swivels, so it needs no tape or sealant.

How to Choose

• A cap is female and covers a male end. A plug is male and blocks a female port. Check which the open connection is before you order.
• Seals on the 60° internal cone and swivels, so nothing goes on the thread.
• Do not use it on a BSPT tapered male expecting a thread seal. The cone does the sealing here.

Technicians Advice

Cap a hose the moment it comes off the machine. It keeps the oil in the hose and the dirt out of the bore, and a capped hose can go back on later instead of being flushed or binned.
