BSP Parallel Male x Metric Light (L) Swivel Female Straight Adaptor

BSP parallel male one end, light series metric swivel female the other. The usual joiner for landing European return, drain and pilot lines into a BSPP port.

Brand: Ayrtec – mild steel body with a plated finish, manufactured to the standards listed below.

Thread Standards

• BSP Parallel Male – BSPP to ISO 228. It seals on a bonded washer against the port face or on a 60° cone, never on the thread itself.
• Metric Light (L) Swivel Female – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, light series. It pulls onto the mating 24° cone and swivels so the tube is not twisted.

How to Choose

• The swivel end turns as you tighten, so an assembled tube run is not twisted.
• Light series suits lower pressure work. Step up to heavy (S) where the circuit warrants it.
• The BSPP male needs a bonded washer or cone seat. No sealant on that thread.

Technicians Advice

Look into the mating cone with a torch first. Plain 24° and O-ring cones are not interchangeable, and telling them apart at the bench is far cheaper than finding out on the machine.

Where You’ll Find It

• BSP Parallel Male – Valve and manifold ports on Australian, British and Asian-built equipment, and most locally made hose ends. The default port thread on Australian truck and agricultural hydraulics.
• Metric Light (L) Swivel Female – European tube and hose assemblies on the lower-pressure side.
