Thread Standards

• BSP Parallel Female – BSPP to ISO 228. It needs a bonded washer or a cone seat to seal, because a parallel thread cannot seal on itself.

How to Choose

• All three ports are the same size and thread, so it does not matter which way the tee goes in.
• A parallel female does not seal on the thread. Each male going in needs a bonded washer or a 60° cone seat.
• A BSPT tapered male will bottom part way in and never seal.

Technicians Advice

Three males in, three fresh bonded washers. It is a few dollars of parts holding three joints, so do not reuse a flattened one to save a trip to the drawer.
