Material: Plated carbon steel tails and ferrules. Suits 1 and 2 wire braided hose (SAE 100R1/100R2, EN853 1SN/2SN).

• BSP Parallel Female Swivel – BS 5200 / ISO 8434-6. Seals metal-to-metal on the 60° inverted cone, so the thread stays dry – no tape, no sealant.

Technicians Advice

Mark the insertion depth on the hose before you push the tail in – a tail that is not fully home crimps on fresh air at the back of the ferrule, and that hose will let go under load. Crimp to the chart diameter, then check with verniers at two points 90 degrees apart. Leave the BSP swivel thread dry: it seals on the cone, and anything smeared on the thread only hides a damaged seat until it weeps.
