Technicians Advice

Gauges die from vibration and pulsation long before they wear out – fit a pigtail loop or a needle valve you can crack open just to take the reading, and the gauge will last years instead of weeks. The gauge swivel nut seals on its washer or cone: snug it with a spanner while holding the adaptor body, and never seal a swivel face with tape.
