Thread Standards

• BSP Tapered Female – BSPT to ISO 7 / BS 21. Seals on the taper against a BSPT male, with sealant on the male thread.

How to Choose

• All three ports are the same BSPT female size.
• Sealant on each male thread.
• Set the branch direction with the last part of a turn.

Technicians Advice

Tighten the tee onto the fixed pipe first, then set the branch direction with the last part of a turn. Do not back a tapered thread off to line it up, it will weep. With stainless, a stainless-rated sealant on each male thread stops galling as well as sealing.
